Pant Du is a family run Vineyard and Orchard, established in 2007 by Richard and Iola Huws. 9 acers of vines and 18 acers of apple trees have been planted on the farm land transforming the slopes of the Nantlle Valley. Pant Du produce includes wine, cider, apple juice, spring water and honey. Over the years we have won a number of awards for our produce.
Pant Du aims to be completely self-sufficient. We are pleased to be the first vineyard and orchard to run on solar energy in Wales. 44 solar panels have been fitted to the roof of the processing building, producing all the electric needed to run the building and the equipment inside.
We are proud to support local food and drink producers. Along with our own wine, cider and apple juice we have a wide range of drinks or local Welsh draught larger along with wine from all over the world. There are plenty of tables for you to sit inside or outside on the patio and garden. You can choose from a range of home-made hot and cold meals as well as our children’s options, along with our tasty home-made cakes.
We also offer guided tours of the vineyard, orchard and water fountain, here you will have the opportunity to learn about the history and variety of the apple trees and grapevines that have been planted on the slopes of Pant Du.
